Applicants
can choose to apply to one, two or all three workshops. The cost
is € 900 for one workshop, € 800 each for two and €
700 each for three. Cost is inclusive of meals and accomodation.
Thanks
to the Media Programme of the European Union there are a small number
of scholarships available on a first come, first serve basis. The
awarding of the scholarship is based on MAIA's assessment of need
and experience.
Deadlines
for submission are one month before each workshop. To secure a place,
payment must arrive at least 10 days prior to the workshop. In the
event of cancellation, refunds will not exceed 75% of the deposit
unless a new candidate is found and pays to take over the allotted
space.
The working
language is English.
Participants:
MAIA Workshops are best suited to the needs of:
- European producers with a track record of short films or documentaries
stepping forward to produce or co-produce their first feature film
- Young producers and executives working in
independent production companies
- Postgraduates and emerging professionals wishing to acquire the
skills of creative production
The single workshops may respectively be opened
to:
- Scriptwriters, story editors, directors
- Lawyers, financial officers
